FREELANCE WORK
Some freelance & commission projects that I have completed over the years.
La Burra Food Truck , 2026
In spring of 2026, I had the opportunity to create and rework items for a new food truck in the Lincoln, NE area. The challenge of this project was that the client came to me with AI generated pieces that were not doing quite what they wanted.
I took the opportunity to take the blueprint of the surfing donkey to make him friendlier, more approachable, while still keeping the main theme of him surfing via taco!
Ashley Augustine, Cosmetology Business Cards, 2026
This fun business card design was created and modeled after the personality and interests of the client herself! I stuck to a dark color palette with pops of saturated reds and light lilac. These business cards double as appointment reminders with a writable area featured on the back. The final prints of these cards include a matte finish on the front with spot glass, raised textured over name and scissors graphics on the front.
Baby Shower Invitation, 2024
Anything baby related is always fun to create! For this baby shower invitation, I stuck to the dinosaur theme of the shower and based the color palette off the nursery colors shown to me. This invitation also includes dinosaur illustrations created by yours truly! The final prints of these invites featured a soft-matte finishing texture.
Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations, 2023 & 2025 Rework
Following my graduate thesis completion, I had the opportunity to create a tshirt design for a band Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations. Later in 2025, I was asked to add onto the original design to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the bands union. The shirt design pays homage to the era of music in which they perform/cover—the late 50's and 60's.
Toby Flores, Toby Ironworks Logo & Door Decal, 2023
Before my departure from FHSU, my good friend and sculpture mentor, Toby Flores, allowed me to design a logo for his newly acquired studio & workshop. From the beginning he wanted his own logo (the toe-bee) to be included with an anvil. My job was to figure out how to connect these objects together.
I took inspiration from a work of Toby's, "Foundry Mary," which includes a casted figure of the Mother Mary with a very beautiful halo shining from behind her. Halo's are often depicted in many religious works of art and symbolize grace, spiritual power, and glory. I felt including this halo would combine nicely not only visually with Toby's required elements, but it also related to Toby himself and his work. The final logo and door decal design were installed as vinyl in 2023 and are visible as you pass down Main Street in Hays.
